have found that walking sends pressure waves through your arteries that significantly increase the supply of blood to your brain. These studies show that the foot’s impact during running and walking causes waves in the arteries that dynamically
stimulate blood circulation to the brain. The effects caused by walking were less dramatic than those that come from running, but they were much greater than the effects of cycling, which involves no foot impact. The study highly recommends that people who are working need to get up from their computers several times a day and walk around a bit to stimulate and nourish their brains.
